What a beautiful word featherweight is. The idea of picking up an electrical appliance that looks like it should be heavy only to find it isn’t sounds great to me! I have given myself many a sore elbow by using hair dryers that weigh more than is comfortable for me, and I’m really excited about the prospect of figuring out something new.
Light As A….
The T3 Featherweight 2 Hair Dryer is the answer to my prayers. It has the ease of use most hair dryers have while being lighter than other models on the market that are similar. This means I would save a lot of stress on my limbs especially if it’s not only light, but dries faster as well.
AND IT DOES!
This hairdryer offers 1800 watts of power so your hair dries faster but without the need for a lot of heat which, as you probably already know can cause a lot of damage. Obviously people with fine hair will really notice a difference compared to those of you who have thick or long hair like mine.
That being said, this dryer gets great reports from both categories. It’s also quieter and feels like it has less “oomph” than other options. However, you won’t need a setting as high as you’re using with your current blower which saves time, is less damaging to your hair and helps keep your energy bills down.
Need A Lot? Maybe Not
If you need A LOT of heat (and I mean a lot) you may not be able to get it from this hair dryer. I can usually get away with less, and I try to because I hate the feeling of fried or crispy hair. My best friend’s locks on the other hand make my thick, curly hair look like loose beach type waves compared to the sheer number of curls she has. She needs A LOT of heat to get it all in order, so I’m not sure this one will work for her.
Sticks and Stops
One of the biggest complaints is the life cycle of this guy, and considering it costs more than $100 I would hope it lasts. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who say it doesn’t. That being said, it does come with a 2 year warranty, and if you’re anything like me you’ll be looking to upgrade your dryer by then anyway.
Terms Not Straight Enough
This dryer has some good things going for it like the weight and the speed with which it dries. It also uses technology like tourmaline, ceramic and infrared which is why it’s at the higher end of the price range. There are some concerns about the staying power, but if you have thin hair and you’re looking for a blower that can add volume and dry your hair in no time, this may be your best bet.
